Class 3

Today didn't go as well in my eyes, however I've been told the first guy I tutored really appreciated my help:) We did a Photoshop collage yet again, but with dark characters...I was a little iffy about using other people's art, but hey, it's just for learning! I had to do some of the stuff, but he did some too. Wasn't as quick as the one I was with last week, but everyone's got different skills. I'm glad he got something out of it.

Second guy I tutored today is really good with music. This one track he made me listen to was so incredibly detailed and well made, like wow, if they have the willpower to do that stuff, why can't people who are better off do it too? Yeah, thats my two cents for today.

I should be starting my Lupus site soon.

First time with the crew

I think this class will not only be good for them, but for me also! I still can't believe I taught someone photoshop. I mean it sounds simple enough, but its rewarding to see it happen, honestly. I was with this girl, and she learned how to use the eraser tool, lasso, selection, copy/paste and save files. I didn't do an inch of work on her collage, she did it all by herself! I guess who knows, she may have done this stuff before, but its still pretty cool. It's hard to believe these people have had such hard lives, they seem so calm and/or smiley. I think I have a whole new respect for people who have less than I do. We're all human, and it's quite fascinating...

On another note, I've decided I will create a Lupus information website, I have a friend who has the disease, so I will be working on it with her help.

I think we get to meet the kids next week! I think teaching others will not only help them, but help myself too. I just hope I don't say anything that will hurt them. But I think I have some experience with sensitivity. Here goes nothing!
